Jason Walton

A tremendously talented artist, Jason Walton, has brought his tremendous artistic skills to bear in the realm of cryptozoology. His extensive collection of art featuring Sasquatch, Cadborosaurus and a variety of freshwater cryptids has graced the pages of the BCSCC Quarterly and the club website.

Since 1999 Jason has been at the forefront of the Operation Caddy Scan project, along with Dr Edward Bousfield, which has attempted to obtain contemporary photographic evidence of the great megaserpent of British Columbia and adjacent coastal waters. Jason has been responsible for instituting two camera rigs, one utilizing video tape and the other employing a digital video monitoring system which captures still images every six seconds of an area where Cadborosaurus sightings have taken place in the past. On July 26, 1999 Jason obtained what are believed to be the first images of Cadborosaurus caught on videotape.

An eloquent speaker, Jason has addressed various interest groups on his work with the BCSCC and Caddy Scan. he has appeared as the principal subject in the Gryphon Productions documentary on Cadborosaurus aired on the Discovery Channel and TLC.

Jason’s artistic brilliance have made him much sought after in the realm of fantasy art. His illustrations have appeared in Dungeons and Dragons games, magazines, on various products and in publicity material used by the municipality of Oak Bay in proclaiming its Cadborosaurus reward contest. His home in Victoria , B.C. doubles as his studio and monitoring station for the Caddy Scan camera rigs.
