Gavin Joth is originally from Glasgow, Scotland and grew up on on Saltspring Island, BC, and spent a portion of his life in
Parksville, BC. He was an avid member of the Parksville Air Cadets which led him to continue on as a civilian instructor for Outdoor survival and navigation training, leading several expeditions 'off the beaten path' with large groups of young people.
Gavin spent 5 years in the Canadian Forces as a soldier, serving overseas in Cyprus, specialist in armoured vehicle operations and communications. He also picked up my civilian Advanced Open water diver certificate and received his diploma in Computing Technology and has been working in Victoria for the past 7 years as a Systems and Business Analyst.
Gavin was Co-Winner, 2000 'Best Photo of Nessie' Award provided by Willaim Hill Bookmakers in the United Kingdom.
He is an active Member of CaddyScan team, and is currently very interested in the Vancouver Island sasquatch, the Cadborosaurus, and the Ogopogo.His interest in cryptozoology arose after watching 'The Legend of Boggy Creek' when it first came out and then having to go home to a log cabin deep in the woods of Saltspring island owned by a friend and having to spend the night, with no parents around.
